How we work

Step 1: You buy the item that best suits your needs. 

Step 2: You will receive an email with the order # that the system gives you. 

Step 3: Send the documentation to be included in an email to hello@melisalopeztranslations.com with the following details:

  • Order number.
  • The documents you need to translate attached.
  • Full name.
  • E-mail address .
  • Delivery time required: Standard or Express (with a 15% additional cost to be paid separately).

Delivery time

Standard delivery time is 2-4 working days after receipt of confirmation and proof of payment. Orders received outside working hours will be processed the next working day.

Urgent/Express delivery time

An additional 15% will be charged if urgent service is required within 24/48 working hours of receipt of confirmation payment.

Method of Delivery

Translations are sent in digital format with a digital signature valid for submission to the corresponding bodies. If you also require a physical copy, you can notify us at the start of the job or with the digital delivery to coordinate the details.

What is NAATI?

NAATI is the authority in Australia that accredits translators and interpreters and ensures professional competence, ethics and quality.

Official bodies in Australia only accept translations with the NAATI seal, because they ensure the accuracy and reliability of the document.

What is a certified or certified translation?

Some documents are more than just papers: a birth certificate certifies that a person was born in a particular place, on a particular date and under particular conditions; a marriage certificate constitutes a marital partnership with legal implications.

A certified translation, public or NAATI stamped, turns a simple translation into an official document that has the same validity as the original, but in another language.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pay?

We ask for 50% upon confirmation of the translation and the remaining 50% upon delivery of the translation. We accept bank transfers (Australia or Argentina), debit and credit cards, PayPal, Wise..

How long does it take to deliver the translation?

As soon as we can. The delivery date depends on the type of translation, the length of the document, among other factors. In general, we deliver between 2 and 4 working days after receiving payment confirmation.

Can you translate my documents with URGENCY?

Yes, we put your needs first on the list at an additional cost of 15% over the original quote price.

 

Do translations expire?

No. Certified translations do not expire. The NAATI translator's stamp must be renewed every three years, although this does not affect the validity of the translation.

Can you send me the translation by post?

Yes, we can deliver by post throughout Australia. The cost is not included in the price of the service and varies depending on your address. Please note that we always email the digital copy first to confirm that the information is correct.

Are the translations valid throughout Australia?

Yes, all our translations comply with Australian national standards. Each NAATI translator we work with has their signature and stamp registered with government and professional bodies to guarantee the validity of your translations.

Is information kept confidential?

Yes, of course. According to the Code of Ethics of the Australian Institute of Interpreters & Translators (AUSIT), we professional translators are obliged to protect the privacy of our clients, just as doctors or lawyers do.

Do the digital stamp and the ink stamp have the same validity?

Yes, both have the same legal validity. Our NAATI translators are authorised to use both digital and ink stamps.

After the NAATI stamp, is any additional legalisation or certification required?

No. The NAATI stamp converts the translation into a final document ready to be submitted to any official body in Australia.
